Even though Boucher’s “Pastoral Scene” isn’t as famous as some of his other works, we should recognize the exquisite choice of colours and the harmony they form together in this painting.
The composition may lack some dynamics, but I believe it was never Boucher’s intention to make it a dynamic work, rather a soft-looking, harmonic feast to the eye.
